Establishing a sustainable communitarian economy has been fundamental for the self determined communitarian projects and campaign that have been greatly beneficial for Puerto Rico. It has also enabled Casa Pueblo to maintain its voice with an independent work agenda.
Acquiring the products has the additional element of solidarity with a non profit organization that looks to use the earnings to forge with dignity the destiny of the citizens of the mountain region of Puerto Rico.

The Madre Isla Coffee is the first and fundamental project of self sufficient economy. In addition to creating direct and indirect jobs, it has been crucial in understanding and applying the best ethical practices of the job considering quality, marketing and efficiency among others. |

The Artisan Shop in Casa Pueblo has become in a place that highlights Puerto Rican artisans and facilitates the sale of high quality products in wood, copper, paper mache, shirt, natural soaps, in addition to books by Puerto Rican authors. |

Madre Isla Farm is another important project that allows integration of economy with education and conservation with national and international social tourism. |
Membership fees and visitor donations also contribute to the communitarian economy of Casa Pueblo.
